- Overview of the Core Environmental Legislation in South Africa and how is it applicable in various industries:
- National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) 107 of 1998: The framework act covering sustainable development, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and duty of care.
- National Environmental Management: Waste Act (NEMWA) 59 of 2008: Regulates waste management to protect health and the environment.
- National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act (NEMAQA) 39 of 2004: Reforms air quality regulation and prevents pollution.
- National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (NEMBA) 10 of 2004: Manages and conserves South Africa's biodiversity and protected species.
- National Water Act (NWA) 36 of 1998: Governs the protection, use, and management of water resources.
- National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act (NEMPAA) 57 of 2003: Provides for a national system of protected areas.

- Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA) 28 of 2002: Governs environmental compliance in mining.
